Several users have expressed extreme frustration and disappointment with Square. The most common complaint is the lack of communication and the ability for Square to freeze accounts with no explanation. Users have lost funds and been unable to access their accounts, causing significant disruption to their businesses. Many feel Square is unreliable and unprofessional.

Square's customer service is a nightmare! One user's account was deactivated without warning, and they’ve been unable to recover $1600 for 90 days. Several other users report similar issues – account freezes, payment holds, and unresponsive support. It sounds like a huge risk for small businesses.

While some users found Square useful for invoicing, many experienced significant problems. Several reported caps on their accounts, payment holds, and frustratingly unresponsive customer service. The risk of account deactivation appears to be high, and the customer service is a major issue. A lot of users are disappointed.
