While the visual remastering of Final Fantasy III is commendable, the core gameplay feels outdated. The touch controls are problematic, and the movement limitations are a significant hindrance. Furthermore, the game's design choices, like the reliance on tap-to-walk pathing, add unnecessary frustration. It's a nice nostalgia trip, but a flawed one.

This Final Fantasy III remaster is a surprisingly good experience! While the touch controls can be a bit finicky, and the 8-way movement is awkward, the beautifully restored graphics and fantastic soundtrack make it a worthwhile trip down memory lane. Fans of the classic RPG will appreciate the faithful recreation, even if it's not a perfect modern experience.

Final Fantasy III is a solid port, but definitely has some frustrating quirks. The lack of controller support is a huge oversight, especially considering other Square Enix titles offer it. The game's aged design elements, like the Charge magic system and limited movement, can feel cumbersome. However, the faithful recreation of the original and the gorgeous pixel art still provide a nostalgic and enjoyable experience.
