If you love track and field events then you need to get your hands on the Playman Track & Field iPhone app.  This is one of the best track and field gaming apps because each event is packed with action and skill.  You will have to be on top of your game to compete in all five events and walk away the Playman Track and Field Champion.  You can participate in tournaments with different combinations of events and you also have the opportunity to play as 12 different characters.  When you get an especially good score on an event then you can go and show off to all your friends and family through Facebook.  Just upload your high scores and see how you fare against all of the other players that are playing the game internationally.  There is also a multiplayer mode that you can participate in to take on up to six of you friends.  There are three game modes total including the challenge, survival, and multiplayer modes.  You can aslo adjust the difficulty of the other competitors by playing in the challenge mode.  Try and beat all of the modes to prove that you are the Playman champion!

• There are five different events that you can do to compete in track and field.  These events include the javelin throw, the 110m hurdles, the pole vault, the long jump, and the 100m Dash
• You have the opportunity to play as one of 14 different characters that are all unique and original.  You can also choose to play as Playman or his little sister Blaise as well
• There are three different game modes that you can access;  These include the Challenge Mode, the Survival Mode, and the Multi-Player Mode
• You can compete against players online or you can play with up to six of your best friends.  This offers a lot of replay value for you
• There is an online scoreboard where you can see where you fit in with the rest of the sports stars worldwide.  Upload your own high score to get your name out there and get some recognition

Conclusion:

This app has enough going for it that you will actually stay quite entertained.  The five different events make you kind of feel like you are playing the old classic “California Games”.  The controls are easy to pick up on and the gameplay is smooth for the most part.  The graphics are simple but they don’t ever detract from the flow of the game.
